The Daily Engadget: More Microsoft Parodies, Exploding MacBook Pros

The Daily Engadget: Microsoft Hallucinations and Exploding MacBook Pros
Our friends over at Engadget obsessively cover everything new in gadgets and consumer electronics, which is why we compile this daily roundup of their top stuff (or, at least, what we think is tops). For more details on any of these stories, click on the Engadget links in each story below.

Microsoft Promotional Video Gets Sarcastic Voice-Over
It's fun to see what major companies think the future will look like, especially a company as big as Microsoft. But, it's even more fun to pick on those visions of the future, and that's what Sarcastic Gamer has done with its hilarious voice-over that takes an optimistic vision and turns it into a fantastic parody.

Unibody MacBook Pro Fire
Do you have a MacBook? Was yours part of the recall from late last-year? If so, did you get a replacement? If not, your trusty laptop is liable to turn into a smoldering ruin, as Ken Brinkman's did-- and that's no fun. Engadget has pics of the aftermath and recall info.
Sony Ericsson Needs Money, Badly
Things aren't looking too hot for Sony right now -- it recently reported a billion dollar annual loss -- but the news is even worse for mobile partner Sony Ericsson. The handset company needs to raise 100 million euros ($137 million) by March of 2010 just to stay alive.

Music Downloads Coming to PSN, PSP?

But, if recent rumors are true, PSN is about to get something that the Xbox lacks: direct music downloads. Sure it's nothing but speculation at this point, but in the near future, you may be able to get tunes delivered straight to your PSP.

Sony's Massive 400-Disc Blu-ray Changer
Got a lot of Blu-ray discs? We mean a lot of them (like, practically all of the ones that have been released). If so, you can probably afford the $2,300 that Sony plans to ask for its BDP-CX7000ES 400-disc changer (not to mention the manservant to insert new movies into it for you).

Taiwan's National Stadium Gets Solar Roof
Many think that solar power won't ever fully deliver on its promises to save the world from non-renewable energy sources, but that's apparently not the sentiment in Taiwan. The country has given its new national stadium a roof composed of 8,844 solar panels, for a total cost of $152 million.

Snoozy the Sloth Hugs, Naps, Breathes
We've seen plenty of dolls with cute habits, but nothing quite like Snoozy, a cuddly little bot that gives hugs and breathes when you snuggle him. Sounds perfectly soothing...
