Flies Turn Fire Ants Into Brain-less Zombies
Haven't we learned enough about introducing non-native species into our ecosystem to try to solve a "problem?" Apparently not. According to the AP, researchers in Texas are experimenting with using parasitic South American flies to combat and control Texas fire ants. But wait, it gets way cooler -- the flies lay their eggs on the ants, and then the eggs hatch into maggots that feed on the ants' brains. As their gray matter is munched away, the ants apparently get up and wander around like zombies until their heads fall off completely and the new flies emerge. It's like 'Alien' for the insect world... we all remember how well that worked out. [From: USA Today]

Who Has the Most Web Servers?
Ever wonder how many servers (definition) your favorite Internet company has in its employ? Data Center Knowledge recently dug into public records and came up with a list of companies with particularly high server counts. Germany's 1&1 Internet leads the pack of companies who publicly report their server counts, with a stout 55,000 servers -- to give you a little perspective, AT&T uses 20,268 servers. We know what you're thinking: "What about Google?" Tack on another zero... Although Google doesn't report its server count, Data Center Knowledge estimates that the search giant operates well over 500,000. [From: Data Center Knowledge]

Hacking isn't that easy anymore. Security technology is advancing quickly. Windows locks locks system files and it makes it hard to customize/hack.
