Best Buy is still the go-to choice when it comes to Blu-ray disc sales in the US, but Wal-Mart is catching up. According to Video Business, the electronics retailer has 40 to 50-percent share of the high-def market, while Wal-Mart is at 40-percent -- and growing quickly.
Denon's 2009 Home Entertainment Lineup Unveiled
Is 2009 the year you finally overhaul your dusty home entertainment center? If so, Denon's got a few new products you may want to check out, most notably the $699 DBP-2010CI Blu-ray-player-on-steroids -- it's got BD-Live support, upscaling (makes your regular DVDs 1080p), and HD support for your camcorder. The company also showed off its new line of in-ear headphones with Radial Cascade Dampers. These supposedly cut down on noise created when the earbud wires bounce against your body (e.g. when you're walking or running).
HP's Mini 1000 Netbook gets $199 Price
There are plenty of options for cheap netbooks out there, but few are as well configured as HP's Mini 1000, and you can now get one at Verizon Wireless for just $199 -- assuming you don't mind signing up to a two-year monthly wireless contract that will ultimately more than double the cost of the thing.
