Twitter-Enabled Toilet Tweets Every Time It's Flushed

Perhaps a Tweeting Toilet is Going Too Far

We love you Twitter, we really do, but we're beginning to think we need a little space. Not a breakup, per say, but a break.

No, it's not the Oprah thing. No, it's not even Ashton and Demi.

That's very nice of you to offer to kick them off, we appreciate it.

What is it then? Well, to be honest, it's the toilet.

Yes, hacklabTOilet. Look, we just can't deal with the idea of a tweeting toilet.

We know. We liked the toilet that weighs your... business, but that was funny.

And it didn't broadcast your bathroom habits across the Internet in 140 characters or less.

We know the toilet isn't actually Twittering. It's an "art" project.

It's just a computer hooked up to a sensor that sends out predefined messages when it detects the toilet has been flushed.

But we're afraid that Seth Hardy will carry through with his promise (threat) to post instructions for rigging your own tweeting toilet.

Then our Twitter feeds will be filled with the automated tales of the marathon bathroom sessions that inevitably follow burrito night.

Look, it's not over. We'll be back, we promise. It's us. It's not you.

We can still be friends right? [From: Unplugged]
