Oprah's BlackBerry Eats Her Homework

Despite Oprah's attempts to prove her technical cognizance, including her recent foray into Twitter, the media mogul apparently still needs some gadget aid. Tasked with writing a tribute to First Lady Michelle Obama for Time Magazine's Time 100 list, Oprah recently told a crowd of reporters gathered at New York City's Jazz at Lincoln Center that she initially wrote the piece on her BlackBerry. Apparently, she accidentally deleted the inspirational homage and was forced to completely restart.

According to New York Magazine, as eavesdroppers gathered around to hear the story, Oprah said, "I went to hit the wrong button and the whole thing deleted!" Afterwords, she apparently struggled to reshape her former thoughts back into words, saying, "I couldn't even, like, think of a sentence." She approached her man Stedman Graham and said, "I go, 'I don't know the reason why that happened.'"

Was this Oprah speaking or Paris Hilton?

Regardless, she reformulated her piece before Time's deadline, and thankfully so, or we would have missed out on such poignant and revealing commentary, like "we admire those arms and applaud her fashion choices." Ugh. [From: New York Magazine]
