Singer Cassie's Computer Hacked, Nude Pics Posted
How is it that all of these celebrities just have nude pictures hanging around on their hard drives? Apparently, R&B singer Cassie recently had her computer broken into by hackers, who discovered topless photos of the 22-year old model-actress-singer and posted them online. Her response via Twitter: "It seems that someone has hacked into my computer... that's real foul and evil. Stop acting like you haven't seen a titty before." [From: The Boombox]
News Corp To Charge For Newspaper Web Access
Rupert Murdoch has just announced that News Corp will begin charging for access to its newspaper Web sites. Murdoch called the current free-access system a broken business model. The Wall Street Journal, a News Corp property, has success despite charging fees for its content, which no doubt inspired Murdoch's decision to move more newspapers to a subscription system. Slowing Growth in the Wireless Industry
J.P. Morgan analyst Mike McCormack recently downgraded AT&T and Verizon, a move that implies slowing growth for the wireless giants. McCormack says that prepaid plans and carriers being held hostage to the next big device can be very dangerous to industry growth. Windows 7 Tested -- Not Much Faster Than Vista
The digital test pilots over at PC World recently put Windows 7 to the test, benchmarking the new Microsoft operating system against Vista. Their results found that, while Windows 7 was faster in every test than Vista, the overall speed increase was less than 5-percent. This means that, yes, Windows 7 is faster than Vista, but you probably won't notice it in day to day computing. Interesting. [From: PC World]
