Nike Transformer Shoes
Man, toys are so much cooler in Japan. Exhibit 1: these disgustingly-awesome Transformer Nike shoes (pictured above). No, you can't wear them, but you'll still be the coolest person in the office. [From: Walyou]
50 Cent Wants to Design More Videogames
Rapper 50 Cent is no stranger to creative success. After several huge albums, a Hollywood movie, and a well-reviewed video game, he's made plenty of cash to sit around drinking Vitamin Water. But Fiddy doesn't sit around: He recently told MTV News that he wants to make a sequel to his game '50 Cent: Blood on the Sand,' as well as design and market future games that he isn't actually in. Rapper-turned gaming executive? Awesome. [From: Joystiq]

Free Google Profile Business Cards
Google recently launched a new service called Google Profiles, which allows you to create profiles within the search engine so you can control what people see when they search for your name. To promote Profiles, Google is giving away sets of 25 business cards (with your name in the company's iconic search bar) to the first 10,000 people who order a set. Get your hands on 'em by making a profile and find the "Order Profile Business Cards" link. [From: Unplggd]

Could Apple Buy Twitter, Electronic Arts?
What would a week in the tech world be without a little rumormongering? After Reuters reported yesterday that Apple has nearly $30 billion of cash saved for a rainy day, the company became the subject of a number of far-fetched rumors:
- First up, both rumorist extraordinaire Michael Arrington of TechCrunch and Owen Thomas of Gawker are saying that Apple is in talks to buy Twitter, but this incredibly unlikely move is being refuted in great detail by the likes of the Guardian and BoomTown.
- Along the same lines, MacRumors is reporting that Apple is eyeing a takeover of gaming company Electronic Arts, but acknowledges that the rumor seem doubtful, indeed for many of the same reasons the Twitter takeover seems unlikely.
