Case in point: One day while at a supermarket, during the time of day when everyone in the world seems to be there at the sametime, I was pondering what to make for dinner, when a man answered his cell phone just down the isle from me. I was standing about, maybe 50-100ft. away from him. After a few minutes or so, he started yelling at the top of his lungs to whom ever was on the other line, using every profanity word in the English language, while parents with children nearby, just stood and watched with shock. Yet, not one area of this store was immune from not hearing this. I do feel your pain, I've had the same issue whether it's a grocery store or a fabric store. If I'm trying to THINK about what I need and how much, these loud-mouthed idiots just about drive me to the brink. I've had fantasies as to where I'd like to stick their cell phones. I've tried glaring at them and they ask me what MY problem is. perhaps those who think it's rude are those who have all the time in the world. but for busy people, talking on the phone on the go is ok.
you talk to people on the go, in the streets, in the bathoom, waiting in line, in the restaurant. as long as you are not yelling or using profanity/being rude on the phone then it's okay.

the point of a cell phone IS to talk on the go. otherwise you have home phone or work phone.
