There's a load of great tech news happening out there every day, and, unfortunately, we just can't cover it all. Here are a few of the other noteworthy things we saw today on our never-ending journey through the wild, wild Web.
- We're sure geeks everywhere would buy this mouse (pictured above), inspired by the iconic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controller. Alas, it's only a foam model for now. [Engadget]
- Although not nearly as cool, here's that same NES controller gracing someone's arm as a painfully geeky tattoo. [walyou]
- Apple's latest version of GarageBand (music creation software) comes with two new "Learn to Play" lessons. Instead of getting lessons from that slightly creepy, long-haired ex-rocker down at the guitar store, you can practice your riffs with the help of Sting and Sarah McLachlan. [TUAW]
- Ever wonder what Twitter looks like on the screens of the microblogging overlords? Silicon Alley Insider shows that Twitter employees might be like the rest of us -- they use Windows and Firefox! Silicon Valley Insider
- Think words just can't convey what you really mean? Wish you could use more symbols and pictures while writing e-mails? Well, if you're a Gmail user, you're in luck: Google just added hundreds of new emoticons to its wildly popular online mail service. [geeksugar]
