'Faith Fighter' Game Taken Offline Due to Muslim Group's Protest

According to Yahoo Tech, 'Faith Fighter,' the popular Internet game that pitted religious deities against one another in battle, was taken offline by its creators on Tuesday after a prominent Muslim organization protested.
The game, which debuted in 2008, has been played by millions of people and has offended that many folks several times over. In an interview with the AFP posted on Yahoo Tech, a spokesman for the Organisation of the Islamic Conference's Islamophobia Observatory described the game as "incendiary in its content and offensive to Muslims and Christians."
The creator of 'Faith Fighter,' Italian game publisher Molleindustria, defended itself and the idea behind the game in a statement reading, "'Faith Fighter' depicted in a mildly politically incorrect way all the major religions, as a response to the one-way Islamophobic satire of the Danish Mohammed cartoons," adding, "If an established organization didn't understand the irony and the message of the game and is claiming it is inciting intolerance, we simply failed."
To be fair, the game did not single out Muslims or Christians. The game poked fun at every religion (The deities were ridiculous-looking cartoons!), but, whatever. We'll look for our scandalous humor elsewhere. [From: Yahoo Tech]

No, it was taken off BECAUSE OF a Muslim group's protest. "Due to" answers what, not why. Can no one use this term properly anymore?
