No one is MAKING you use the site. Same with Myspace, if you're sick of it, then delete it. Quit bitching about how "oh the design has changed, i hate the stupid invitations." You get invitations from your friends, if you don't want them to invite you delete them or tell them to stop. Easy as that. All the time you wasted on making this list, you could've deleted your Facebook by now.

Andrea

Comments on Reasons to Quit Facebook

okay im pretty sure that im NOT the only person who despises facebook notifications. i mean how about we pick a time to get a notification. one that isnt filled with "application" notifications like "so and so joined your sorority! see which of your friends are already on Sorority Life!" BAHHH!

and i for one do hate the design. i loved it so much before it got all "socialized" if that makes any sense. i know youre thinking "well why DONT you delete it already and stop complaining" well...i for one keep my facebook so that i can keep in touch with the people that i have moved away from and cant call or see every day. i think facebook should care about what its users think. not what the CEOs like.

miasaour324

Comments on Reasons to Quit Facebook

Lol. Thank you for this! I agree with just about everything you've said. And I got an extra laugh out of these people who actually took time to DEFEND Facebook in the comments. They act like you personally insulted them. Too funny.

What you guys are missing is this: Facebook actually used to be a fun, useful communication tool, a way to share your life in some way with people you may or may not talk to or see all the time. However, it's now so clogged up with the rest of this garbage that it's almost no fun at all. I don't need to see every aspect of everything everyone else is doing. And if you want to just remove their notifications regarding their apps, you can't. It removes the person from your news feed entirely. I want to see what my sister who lives over an hour away is doing. I just don't want or need to see EVERYTHING. I don't need over 99 requests every day from apps I don't want to use, events I will not go to and so on. Sure you can block them, but you have to weed through them all to do it and that is a pain in the ass.

It would be much easier if people thought it through, as the writer of this article suggests, and just refrain from sending them to everybody. Especially if I've ignored the first 50 you sent. That should be a clue not to send more.

Gen
