Our Daily Deal: Olympus Stylus 830 8MP Digital Camera

Every day, the folks over at TechDealDigger are letting us know about some of the best gadget deals they can find, so we're going to pass that information on to you. After all, in these tough economic times, every little bit counts. We may not be buying Swarovski-covered iPods any time soon, but everyone needs essentials like a computer. So, take a look at what the online deals site sent us today.

Sometimes, the camera on your cell phone just won't do. That's why it's important to have a full-featured digital camera stashed somewhere for documenting life's truly important events, like your child's first birthday, or the time the cat got stuck in a plastic bag. And, while prices on quality digital cameras have dropped over the years, it's pretty hard to beat $99 for this Olympus. The camera lists for around $250 on Amazon (depending on the color), but, if you don't mind silver or orange, you can get it for $99, plus a free case, through Newegg. The Olympus 830 has an 8 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, tons of pre-set shooting modes, image stabilization features, and the ability to shoot videos with 640 x 480 pixel resolution (think high-quality YouTube videos). You'll still have to pay shipping, and buy an xD card, but it's hard to complain when you're getting a camera that lists for up to $300 at a third of the price.
