I gotta agree. College kids don't really get it, or they don't care or don't have time for it. The young prof. and older crown like it because they see how useful it can be to get info quickly and to get articles or whatever on what your interested in. For instance, on tweetdeck I've always got a search going for "high-heels" and maybe just "shoes" to see what people are saying on the topics I care about professionally and just out of my nonsensical addictions. Anyhow, it depends on what your using it for. I find twitter most useful to find the info I need when I need it, its like having your own personal RSS feed all the time on the crap you care abt.
