Pardon our skepticism in this becoming a reality, but at least we'll be extra elated if our rock-bottom expectations are met.
########################################################
Personally, I would be elated if I could get a connection speed of even half that of DSL!! Currently, I connect at the blazing speed of 26.4kbs even though I have a 56k modem. To rub salt into my wounds... the phone company has run fiber optics to within 1/4 mile of my house, yet they have no plans to extend that beyond the juction box.

Before I moved herre I had FiOS service from Verizon with a connection of 5G... thats right, 5,000 kbs! Talk about a let down.... aahhhhgggg!!!

Gregory Dittmer

Comments on National Broadband Plan Starts Rolling Out

As soon as they start rolling out high-speed access for everyone, the ISPs will all be putting caps on downloading. I'm not certain why caps are being used all of a sudden.
