Definitely not rooting for that hoity toity Pekingese, that's for damn sure. #Westminster
I'm, like, okay with being a little crazy.
The time, energy, words, weight lost, nails bitten, scabs picked and nights I've struggled thru for this are easy to judge from afar, right?
Things I won't miss about being a freelancer: incorrectly estimating my taxes and owing a ton of cash at the end of the year.

You see, the FCC currently defines "broadband" as 786Kpbs, which obviously isn't anywhere near median rates in some of the aforementioned countries. Pardon our skepticism in this becoming a reality, but at least we'll be extra elated if our rock-bottom expectations are met.

Personally, I would be elated if I could get a connection speed of even half that of DSL!! Currently, I connect at the blazing speed of 26.4kbs even though I have a 56k modem. To rub salt into my wounds... the phone company has run fiber optics to within 1/4 mile of my house, yet they have no plans to extend that beyond the juction box.
Before I moved herre I had FiOS service from Verizon with a connection of 5G... thats right, 5,000 kbs! Talk about a let down.... aahhhhgggg!!!

As soon as they start rolling out high-speed access for everyone, the ISPs will all be putting caps on downloading. I'm not certain why caps are being used all of a sudden. I thought fiber optic networks were supposed to create nearly unlimited bandwidth.

So this "big roll out" at the proposed speed, is obsolete even now and won't be implemented for years.
Yep America is really staying ahead of the cutting edge technology.
