Leaked Screen Shots of New iPhone 3.0 Software Reveal More Features

New iPhone 3.0 Interface Shots Surface
When Apple gave the world a taste of the new version of the iPhone software last month, dubbed version 3.0, the Apple fan base was alight with glee over the numerous promised enhancements, including multimedia messages, turn-by-turn GPS directions, and even copy-and-paste support -- finally! As it turns out, that wasn't all that will be new and exciting in the OS; recently released screen shots now show some further, previously unannounced functionality.

Most exciting is the new video recording and editing app we touched on in the previous post that will let you shoot small (and probably grainy-looking) videos through your iPhone's camera. But, there are lots of other enhancements, too, including voice dialing, improved statistics about the phone's usage, and a suite of new settings to tweak the way the phone works. There are even references to a "ChinaBrick" setting that could disable Wi-Fi, thus making the phone legal to use in China. It's all unconfirmed for now, but we'll find out for sure later this summer when 3.0 drops for reals. [From: The Boy Genius Report]
