So now GM is going to partner with Segway to manufacture a battery powered 2 wheel "rickshaw".......one moment GM is producing/selling/hyping high cost gas guzzlers, and now wants to produce/sell/hype a battery powered "rickshaw", at "25% the cost of an automobile." Why not just buy a lawnmower and put a cab on top of it, and sell it for "1% the cost of an automobile." To me, this goes to show how screwed up the management at GM has, and still is blind to the needs of the middle class, the largest consumer segment. Has GM ever seriously thought about producing/selling/hyping an auto with great gas mileage, and more importantly, affordable to the middle class?

This electic rickshaw minus the rickshaw puller is not the answer to the conversion to green powered vehicles. It is like the horseless carriage, only a rickshaw pullerless carriage. About the same analogy before the horseless carriage became the main driver in our economy. It will take a long time to get green vehicles that have the power, range, and capacity to carry loads to compare with fossel fuel vehicles.

how is this better than a two wheel streamlined electric motorcycle? The human powered speed record for a streamlined recumbent bicycle is OVER 80mph. Oh I get it, this is patented, and anyone could build a streamlined electric motorcycle (that wouldnt use energy just to balance itself).
