Best of the Week

Because it's just a once-a-year thing, April Fool's Day brings out tech pranks in full force. Google is a perennial favorite, and they delivered again this year with CADIE, an Artificial Intelligence product. Sure, there was lots of cell phone news out of Vegas at CTIA 2009, but our votes for story of the week are for a man busted with a DUI on a motorized bar stool. If you missed these stories, they're all here, and if you've already seen them, read them again.
- After months of buildup, the Conficker virus was scheduled to go off on April first, but was largely a dud.
- The gaming industry is weathering the economy well because, a new study suggests, people are staying home and refraining from going out to save money.
- Another new study out of Australia suggests that tweeting, using YouTube, and wasting time makes you more productive at work.
- Sick of people typing in all caps? Annoyed by friends using their smartphones during meals? Don't miss our list of the other biggest Tech No Nos.
- Finally, a 25-year-old British man dropped dead while playing 'Wii Fit.'
