UK Teacher Reprimanded for Online Thong Pics
Natasha Gray, a P.E. teacher at Manor Community College in Cambridge, England, has landed herself in a bit of hot water for posting provocative photos of herself, wearing a thong, on the modeling Web site iModel.com. Gray, voted the UK's sexiest teacher on a television show in 2002, has been soliciting modeling work on the side through iModel, where the eight risqué images were posted. Ben Slade, headteacher of Manor Community College, said that Miss Gray would not be suspended, but did say that he had asked her to remove the photos, telling her that publishing such images is completely inappropriate for someone in her position.
While all this certainly wasn't the brightest move on Gray's part, the pictures aren't pornographic. And, despite Slade's apparent moral indignation, Manor Community College certainly didn't seem to object when Gray was parading herself around on stage, in revealing outfits, for that iTV show. Losing Face on Facebook
Facebook is going to rewrite the book on standard office excuses, at least for its shortsighted users. Kevin Colvin, an intern at Anglo Irish bank, thought that had an ironclad story when he asked off to attend to a "family emergency." When his boss was alerted to this fresh picture posted to his Facebook profile during his absence, that story lost just a tad of its believability -- unless he was curing Aunt Hattie with his magical powers and a potent hoppy elixir. We're sure that posting the picture seemed like a good idea at the time, Kevin, but you were sadly mistaken. Same goes for that costume.
Students at Glen Ridge High School in New Jersey were shocked and confused when the news trucks rolled up to get the scoop on a set of Facebook photos. Obtained by a nosy parent, the pictures featured underage drinking that led to the suspension of school athletes. Many saw the role of the photos in the punishments as legally questionable, but despite organized protests and other umbrage, many students opted to just take their own racy Facebook pictures down as soon as possible. Live and learn, everyone -- just don't post visual evidence of it happening on your profile.
Even the charmed lives of beauty queens can be dragged through the mud by Facebook photos taken far away from the pageant stage. Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo discovered this firsthand over the summer when she was the target of a strange "blackmail plot" centered on profile images of her partying and carrying on in a less than royal fashion. She ended up releasing the photos herself, and soon everyone was wondering what the fuss was all about -- from venture capitalists to gossip reporters, Facebook has a tendency to get people riled up.
Thinking about shoplifting some clothing? Here's a tip -- think twice before posting pictures of yourself modeling the hot merchandise on Facebook. Two students at Radford University in Virginia learned this lesson the hard way when a store owner was tipped off and found the incriminating images on Facebook. A stroke of the 'print' button, a trip to the police office, and the bust was complete.
This story -- women who show little discretion in their alcohol consumption and even less when documenting their misadventures on their profiles -- seems to have started the most recent wave of Facebook embarrassments. While it's difficult for many to understand the personal pride and motivation behind such excess, it's even more mind-boggling to know that these exploits are being glorified online for all to see. Mom must be proud, and potential employers are surely beating down the doors.

Lucky she didn't do that in the US. She would have been framed for some kind of lewd act with a child and railroaded into a conviction based on her modeling photos. Of course she could have also been in a lot of other countries where NOTHING would have happened to her at all, because other Europeans aren't terrified of sex.
barbikApr 4th 2009 7:42AM
Maybe if you are unhappy and critical of the way the United States protects our children perverts like you should move to those other countries where they are not "terrified of sex". Just like a typical sexual predator making excuses and trying to justify those actions. Teachers are to set an example. If they can't they should choose another vocation. Of course you wouldn't understand that. Sexual morons think with their other "head".

Tell it like it is, Master Shake! I'm sick to death of all the cowardly paranoia and severe overpunishment (a direct result of the mass paranoia) in this so called land of the "free" and home of the "brave". Lock yourself in a closet with your kid and read self-improvement books, barbik!

The US has more prisoners than BOTH Russia and China COMBINED, but with less than 1/6th of their total population! No, it is NOT because these other countries execute prisoners, either. Russia hasn't executed even one person in nearly 20 years, and China only executes about a thousand a year more than the US does - which is a drop in the bucket compared to the 7.5 MILLION Americans who are currently in prison, on parole, or awaiting trial. This is not the description of a "free nation" - it is the description of a police state, or at the very least, an authoritarian regime. Americans are among the LEAST free of any civilized country in the world these days - and I do not base this solely on the statistics. I have personally lived in several countries, including time in the US in the past. I wouldn't go back there even as a TOURIST these days. Your coast-to-coast ghettos and big box stores do not interest me.

Hey Master Shake, You're doing America a big favor by never returning to this country again. We can gladly do without anymore morons like you; we have more than enough idiots to deal with as it is. The United States is the best country with the most freedom in the world. You must be very retarded for thinking otherwise.
JApr 5th 2009 4:39PM
shes not even hott!!
RawberrySmoothieApr 6th 2009 11:49AM
Yeah master Shake, that's exactly what would have happened. We bind and gag ALL PEOPLE WHO WEAR THONGS IN THEIR PRIVATE LIFE.
Seriously, what ever example of the United States you've seen in your personal life I am very sorry for, and I realize these comments aren't exactly making you want too much to return, but it's really not that bad.
And as for your personal interviews with ex-pats, you must realize that anyone you ask already out of the US is *of course* going to have had a reason to leave, but for you statistics you should note how they are grossly outnumbered by those rushing to get in. We have around 40 million immigrants, and at least 12 million of them illegal. Total ex-pats? About 4 million among all nations, from a nation with 306 million+ legal citizens.

THIS IS AN ADULT. SHE IS AN EDUCATOR. IS THIS SIDE CAREER AFFECTING HER ABILITY TO TEACH? I THINK THAT AS LONG AS WHAT SHE DOES ON THE SIDE ISN'T ILLEGAL OR IMMORAL SHE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO HER THING. THANKS GOD SHE'S NOT MOLESTING OR HAVING BABIES BY TEENAGE BOYS SHE MAY TEACH!
TracyApr 4th 2009 1:17PM
Yes! I am a very good teacher but I certainly do not want to share with students, parents or administrators my private life. It's just that-PRIVATE! It has nothing to do with my teaching.
LaWandaApr 6th 2009 12:23AM
this response to my comment confused me. If privacy about your personal life is the concern here then don't put it on facebook or any other PUBLIC website. As i stated earlier what the young lady does on her own time should be her business. As long as she's not breaking the law, or harming children. Tracy' comment was not related to my comment.

She is a COLLEGE teacher. I dont think that a thong picture will adversly effect her ability to teach or her rapport with her students. By the way, the US is paranoid about sex. We have a perverse double standard where we use sex to sell cars, but we hide basic biology from our children. We do have perverts and predators, but no more than we used to have. Its reported more, but know that a child has far more to fear from their own inner circle when it comes to molestation, than the pervert on the Internet.
ChrisApr 4th 2009 10:02AM
What, you don't remember your own hot teachers? This doesn't sound like a problem, it sounds like a solution.
dianneApr 4th 2009 8:21AM
She could of done that in the U.S. and had sex with her students and only recieved house arrest
teltech541Apr 4th 2009 8:35AM
Just visited the imodel site. Looks like a mid to high class hooker advertisement site.
EveApr 4th 2009 8:42AM
If a principal did this then I am okay with her getting in trouble. Teachers have been getting scrutinized from everything from wearing anything different than granny clothes to how they handle students who have parents who'd rather yell at the teacher than face a problem and solve it. It's nice that the spot light is elsewhere and that Principal's aren't above the rules and scruticizing that teachers endure.

Hey relax, attractive and in good taste. No worse than normal two piece bathing suts worn by most ladies worldwide. This one just happens to be pretty and in good shape.
Jeans2tux2Apr 4th 2009 9:58AM
If it was so inappropriate for her, why was the Head Master looking at them on the site? Shouldn't he be reprimanded for viewing such so-called distasteful photos?
FLLadyApr 4th 2009 5:01PM
Teaching used to be a noble profession. Now, it's mostly a joke. A lot of teachers don't take their jobs seriously & should find another line of work. Teachers should not be sexual around their students. Don't they get enough of that anyways? I say put her on probation & if she screws up again send her packing to the nearest stripper pole.

Great idea for a sexy Halloween costume this year and i have bought good looking ones in the past at http://www.electriqueboutique.com and i am torn between the sexy teacher costume or the naughty schoolgirl.
