I am also chatting but don't seem to know the route to actually USING it correctly.
First of all, I had definate probs putting in a pic and profile.
Another odd thing. Twitter people brought everything I have ever blogged about from not only MySpace, but even from a Fibromyalgia/Cfids group where I had a huge, long, only of interest to someone who shares the illnesses with me blog. I didn't think this was too cool. My illness is noone's biz but mine and the group I blogged it in. So I insisted they delete it. Now deleted, there are still some meaningless chats listed for life I guess, :6( that I simply said as I started Twitter. I didn't know it would wave it's flag every time I open up Twitter. Grrrrrr. However, I am trying to make it work. :^)

Gail Watson

Comments on

Get a life Gail really come on. Go to http://twitter.com and click on Create An Account. You can create an account from there. To view others' accounts on Twitter, you must first know their URL or twitter account name. If you would like to take a peak at my Twitter account, and see how I use Twitter, my Twitter name is @iamkrissy and you can find me at http://twitter.com/iamkrissy Please keep in mind that Twitter is not merely a service where you broadcast "what I am doing" all day. That is a very small use of Twitter, sometimes not used at all by many tweeters. Twitter has many uses. Let me list some of them. You can use twitter to: inspire others w quotes, post YouTube songs and educational and fun videos for others to listen to, be a blip.fm DJ and share songs w the other tweeters, engage in conversations w fellow tweeters -- both a single tweeter and as a group, share photos of important events in your community or of your family, share your blog posts, share interesting blog posts of your friends, share important and interesting newspaper articles, participate in trivia games, participate in meme games (hashtage games everyone plays such as finishing a sentence like #myfirstcarwas ), answer questions of the day, if you are a business person you can sell your products, talk about political subjects, read news tweets, pass news tweets on to others if they are important, meet many new people, learn many new things, find mentors, find a job, tweet "fun" facts, ask for donations for your favorite charity, as well as a many, many other things. I'm surprised at what others are saying about Twitter on this page, but I'm going to assume it's their ignorance and they don't know how to use Twitter, and have most likely never been on it. If you would ever like to learn more about Twitter and how to use it, Heather, just follow me on Twitter, and I'll help you. I'll follow you back on Twitter if you follow me first. Just hit "follow" button on http://twitter.com/iamkrissy If you'd like to speak to me start your tweet off w @iamkrissy and I'll be able to read what you say! And have fun! krissy knox :)

krissy knox

Comments on

Twitter is for idiots. This is a place where people who need to find something worthwhile to do spend their time. It is all terrible boring.

Sandy and Sue

Comments on

Sandy and Sue,
Twitter is not for idiots, and it's not useless. I imagine you have not tried it, so can't really give an opinion about it. I am a regular user of Twitter. Perhaps your disdain of Twitter comes from the fact you don't have a proper understanding of it's function (and the article above does not do much to alay your misconceptions, I don't think). Twitter's function, as you assume, is not primarily to update others on what you are doing. It is to share many things w others who are on Twitter. Let me give you some examples. Those on Twitter share their links to their blog posts, other posts they find interesting and think the Twitter community would like to read, share funny inspiring or helpful YouTube Videos, introduce others to interesting people, raise money for good causes, help charities, introduce businesses, help others to find jobs, talk about interesting things including current events, broadcast news, have individual and group conversations, network to get jobs, talk about trending topics, play trivia, just plain have fun, and do so many other activities! If you'd like to see some of what Twitter is about, you can check my page out. It's listed below.
krissy knox :)
http://twitter.com/iamkrissy

krissy knox

Comments on

Twitter is one of the dumbest things out now! Why do I want to know what people are doing thru out the day? People are treating Facebook like that. Telling everyong what they do throughout the day, it's stupid. Just like texting is stupid also, but that's another issue!

jerry

Comments on

Hi

D
