"-ology", as i under stand it, means, "the study of".

so people are misusing words by adding inappropriate endings to them. for example, some one, a scientist, yet, used the word "idiology" when the word "idiocy" would have been the proper word. our language is being destroyed. or per haps i should sign up for "twitter" and "tweet" this? sorry, but twittering and tweeting is for the birds - literally. or rather, "literalology".

mezl

Comments on Twitter 101: Tips and Tricks

A stupid damn waste of time !!!!!!!!!

Joyce Frisby

Comments on Twitter 101: Tips and Tricks

mezl said, "there are always words that aren't spelt right. and not even big, complicated words. we may be getting technologically advanced, but peoples' literary ablities are geting sacrificed in the process. "

Spelling isn't the only thing sacrificed in the name of technology. Apparently, capitalization and punctuation have been slaughtered also. "People" is a plural noun...meaning: human beings in general. The possessive plural of people is "people's" ....not peoples'. Though it appears incorrect in mezl's comment, "spelt" is the British spelling of "spelled". Probably a typo, but "geting" is spelled "getting".....even in Britian.

You're welcome.

scrmbldegs2010

Comments on Twitter 101: Tips and Tricks

Thanks for helping me understand twitter.
