Apple No Longer No. 1 in Computer Reliability, Report Says

2009 has not been kind to Apple.
According to a new report, Mac sales have taken a hit in the early months of 2009, and now Apple has slipped to number two in terms of computer reliability. RescueCom, a computer support hotline, factors both the number of service calls made to its hotline and a company's market share before delivering its quarterly computer reliability report. This quarter saw Asus and Lenovo tied for first place with Apple in second.
We will see if Apple can reclaim the reliability throne by the end of the year, when RescueCom's yearly report comes out. [From: Wired]

If Lenovo is the new standard for computer reliability then the US has really sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Screw the Chinese and everything that they manufacture.

I bought my first mac in June after owning 3 pcs over 14 years. We could not be happier, have not had one single problem. I will never go back to a pc.

Reliability? In regards to how well their products work and perform? Don't get me started on what a pile of crap my macbook is and how many repairs I've had done within the past 18 months. It's distressing to talk to people about it and hear "BUT I THOUGHT MAC COMPUTERS NEVER BREAKKKK WHUT??"
.... :( I only wish that was true.

With an economy like the one going on now, what computer will take the hit first? The most expensive one will lose market share first.
