Which Netbook Is for You?

1. HP Mini 1000 Mii Edition
Price: From $300
What we like: HP's netbook comes in many flavors, including a bargain basement "Mii Edition" that features a custom interface with dedicated onscreen boxes for music, photos, mail, and the Web that'll keep you focused (it's also Linux-based, so start-up is fast). The fashion-forward Vivienne Tam Edition's (pictured, above) looks belie this netbook's sub-$800 price.
What we don't: The custom Linux interface may turn off users who like their Windows XP the traditional way. Despite this netbook's relative thickness compared to some of the competition, the keyboard feels tight and awkward to type on.
Bottom line: Solid and affordable. The Mii Edition's $300 starting price is hard to ignore, but spend a bit more on the Vivienne Tam Edition ($699), and you'll get a truly stylish conversation starter. Frugality-hounds and fashionplates, rejoice!

I think you got the dislikes confused with a different computer. The Mini 1000 is one of the thinnest and lightest netbooks and has the largest keyboard of all the computers reviewed here except the NC10, which has the same size keyboard.

I am new at all this computer tech stuff. Will someone please explain what Wii software is, or is it Mii? Thanks.
