David Hasselhoff Uses Celeb Status to Score a Nintendo Wii

David Hasselhoff (he of Baywatch, Knight Rider, and drunken YouTube video fame) recently revealed to MTV's Multiplayer gaming blog that he isn't afraid to play the celebrity card to get what he wants.
The Hoff told Multiplayer that using his celebrity to get things normally unavailable to others is his "guilty pleasure." Besides getting backstage at Billy Joel concerts and front row tickets to U2, the former Mitch Buchannon has leveraged his status as a washed up TV star to screw some poor sap out of a Wii in order to buy his daughter's love.
Following the aforementioned disastrous YouTube video he decided to make it up to his daughter by getting her a Wii for Christmas. When he called his local video game retailer he was told they had none in stock. He told them, "This is David Hasselhoff, okay? I've got a daughter. I love my daughter, more than life itself. This is all she wants, okay?" before getting them to admit they had one held on the side. Whoever that system was held for though was out of luck as Hasselhoff flew off to the store and got them to sell it to him purely because of his name.
Well, we hope it was worth it, you probably ruined some other kid's holiday. Jerk. [From: MTV Multiplayer via JoyStiq]
