When the console gets overheated, the motherboard warps causing it to stop working.  The towel trick (3 towels seems to be the magic number) heats the motherboard to a point where it is pliable.  Once it's heated, it is best to let it cool upside down, to allow the motherboard to go back to it's original alignment.  It works, but again...temporarily and dangerous.  Never leave a towel wrapped Xbox unattended.  Best course of action when you get the red ring of death is to send it back to Microsoft to let them repair it properly and permanently...as long as it is under warrantee there is only a<br>minimal charge.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Lisi]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Mar 14th 2009 6:49PM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
