For commercial uses, where replacement costs include labor, and where power costs are generally higher, this is an investment that will quickly pay for itself.  LEDs use less than half the power of CFL's, can be dimmed, emit even less heat, contain no mercury, and last for decades.  <br><br>Still, the Cree LR6 remains the best, most cost-effective replacement I've seen yet.  I just don't use enough 40 watt bulbs to seriously consider this one. How about the components inside the bulb? Do they offer a 45,000 hrs life span?
