Facebook Founder Marc Zuckerberg Admits He Uses Twitter

And the Twitter news just doesn't stop!
We're wondering when you, our dear readers, are going to stage a mutiny and take over Switched, since you're undoubtedly sick of reading about our favorite way of indulging our every narcissistic impulse. But, until you show up at the door with pitchforks and torches, we're gonna keep talking about it.
This mildly interesting tidbit has to do with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The social media entrepreneur has a private Twitter page under the name of 'Zuck,' but recently there has been speculation that he's been operating a second -- public -- profile under the name 'finkd.' Guess what? Turns out he is. Mr. Zuckerberg revealed himself via an update to the account and via a mirrored update on his Facebook page.
| MySpace | |
|---|---|
| I use all three. | |
| I'm not sure. |
Why two separate Twitter profiles? It's baffling considering that Twitter is starting to over many Facebook users and turning into a serious competitor for Zuckerberg's social-networking baby. Maybe he's doing research on the fast-growing rival. Maybe 'Zuck' is primarily an outlet for dark sexual fantasies that would shame the company founder. Or maybe he just finally figured out that Twitter is all about letting millions of strangers read about the private, mundane details of your life in 140-character chunks. [From: ValleyWag]

So many people have very little life today so they spend most of their time playing with gadgets to as that little piece of rubber they used to put in their mouth when they were Kids. Very Sad situations.

I don't know why Mark gets so much flack. I knew him from sleepaway camp way back when, and he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met! Leave the guy alone!
Marlene BorchertMar 9th 2009 10:15PM
I think your comments are rude and mean. I belong to Facebook and have met up with old friends from years ago and to me that is PRICELESS! As for comments about Facebook being for geezers over 30 GUESS WHAT I AM ONE AND DARN PROUD OF IT! I would rather be the age I am and have grown up in a decent, moral and safe time than to be young now and put up with all the insanity and craziness and sex starved young people. Why don't you get life and let people decide what site they like? Marlene
michelleMar 10th 2009 9:33PM
the geezers over 30 are actually PROUD of being a member of a social networking site? Oh come on. get over yourself. it's not that big a deal.
RebeccaMar 10th 2009 5:30AM
Amen! Growing up respectful of others our age (and our elders) makes me proud to be in the over-30 group. As evidenced by a lot of the replies on here, that is sadly lacking in a lot of the teens and young adults today. Like you, Facebook has also afforded me a chance to reconnect to high school friends.
Marlene BorchertMar 10th 2009 9:50PM
Hey Michelle you got it right I AM VERY PROUD OF BEING OVER 30 and being on several social networks! Since when doing this only apply to people under 30! And also I am NOT INTO MYSELF I was raised in a generation where WE THOUGHT OF OTHERS AND NOT OURSELVES another thing I AM VERY PROUD OF! I really feel sorry for your generation as it is evident you have no respect for older people and that is very sad. Marlene
JeriMar 9th 2009 10:29PM
Marlene, our time growing up was no better, safer, or more innocent. We have more ways to find out about the bad things now. But take it from someone who knows, not all of us grew up happy. I think family determines a lot of how we feel about our growing up years. As far as Facebook goes, I found the love of my life 30 yrs later!!! GO FACEBOOK!!!!
vanessaMar 9th 2009 11:00PM
I know absolutely nothing about any of the three. The more you learn about this stuff, the more it changes and its like starting all over again. I GIVE UP. I don't even have a cell phone. Of course I never answer the phones anyway. I've noticed when a guy gets nervous around a chick he always starts looking at his phone. What is that all about?
MikeMar 9th 2009 11:05PM
Who cares?
cybercalleyMar 9th 2009 10:55PM
How noble you must feel to sacrifice as much as you did in the name of brain research. I think you are so brave to have donated your brain to science-- already.
AimeeMar 9th 2009 11:19PM
I agree with Mike. Who really cares if Marc has a Twitter? Maybe Tom has a Facebook...gasp! Another pointless story for AOL to cover!
KateMar 9th 2009 11:27PM
Okay, first of all, I don't know who this guy even is. And secondly, who cares if he has a Twitter or whatever? AOL has run out of things to write an article on so they stalk some guy that nobody's ever heard of? That's stupid and pointless.

"OUTS HIMSELF"? That is really professional journalism! I guess writing standards have dropped quite a bit...

Facebook is good for locating old friends/family. But for blogging to the world, and making many new friends, Thoughts.com free blog site, with no ads, is growing fast for a reason. It's easy, plus it has a forum, and you can upload your photos. It's easy to build a list of your favorite bloggers friends, and with a click, see what they posted that day. Have a rant,a story or a poem you want the world to see? Check it out.

Phhfff I knew facebook would lead.....so way cool there.
