Airline Apologizes for Passenger Tantrum Video Appearing on YouTube

Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific issued a public apology last week for an incident involving a customer on February 4th. An airline employee, using a cell phone, filmed a woman screaming hysterically and collapsing on the floor. The un-named woman, who freaked out after missing her flight to San Francisco, met with airline officials last week who apologized to her "for the inconvenience and embarrassment she may have suffered as a result."

In recompense for the incident, the airline disciplined the videographer, promised the woman upgraded seats on her next flight, and offered her reimbursement for used frequent flier miles. An obvious sign that the incident did not take place in the U.S., the woman is not pursuing legal action or monetary compensation.

You've probably already seen the clip, which was posted February 12th, but, if you're not one of the video's 5 million viewers, you can take a look above. [From: FOXNews]
