15 Phishing Scams to Watch Out For

MobileMe Apple e-mail

Subscribers to Apple's MobileMe, a service that synchronizes e-mail, calendar and contact information on members' various Apple gadgets, recently received authentic-seeming e-mails stating that their subscription payments did not go through. Similar to the Pay Pal scam, the e-mail then asks the victim to follow a link where he can enter credit card information in order to make his supposedly missed payment. To avoid this scam, make sure you check your credit card statements before trusting any e-mails that say your payment didn't go through. Better yet, don't enter any credit card information when prompted by an e-mail.
