Woman Gets Stun Gun Past Airport Security Checkpoint

Airport security is cool and all, but when we're being forced to undress, bend over, and throw away our $4 Pepsi while a lady in Albany somehow gets her stun gun past the security checkpoint, we start to lose faith that this is all serving the greater good.
On Saturday, Amy Burns passed through the security checkpoint at Albany International Airport with her child and a stroller in tow. It wasn't until she reached the gate that a ramp worker, who was attempting to load her stroller into the baggage hold, discovered a stun gun in the stroller's storage basket.
It's unknown if Burns was planning to use it on the flight and why she had it in the first place. While we await word on that, we'll be hopping over to the nearest chair to put our belt and shoes back on. [From: Gadling]

I can't wait to hear her excuse. Why would someone have a stungun in their stroller in an airport? Expecting to be jumped on the way to the terminal? Your kid gets outta hand you zap 'em? Seriously, wtf was this lady thinking? "Oh, I'm sorry, your Honor, I keep the sg in the stroller to protect my baby and me from the hoodlums on the street, and I forgot to remove it before going on the plane. My bad."

The airport security concept has always been a joke. But in this case, if the stun gun was being placed in the baggage hold, I don’t see how she could have gotten to it during the flight. The last time I flew, last December, I could not get anything from the baggage hold until the plane landed. She did not attempt to hide it in her carry on, or on her person, so how could she endanger the flight? As usual, this is a lot of hysteria over nothing.

Duh you only go thru airport security after you have dropped off all of your check in baggage so she was trying to take it on the plane where she could have been able to get to it now not sure she could have taken on the whole plane with one stun gun but point is she shouldnt have had it but security should have caught it they stink
