With the problems we are having in the US, to lose money to scammers is unaceptable. We should authorize and order the C.I.A. to send agents into any country necessary, to eliminate these scum. This crap has gone on long enough.

how is it the fault of the scammers that the victims lose their money? if you're that damn gullible, you deserve to lose your shirt. it sucks, but c'mon! in this day and age, we all know the simple rules of interacting with ppl over the internet. a healthy dose of cynicism and skepticism are in order here. and NEVER send money unless it's someone you KNOW - as in a long time friend or family member, or reputable charity.
finding love and friends is what we all want. the internet has made that easier and more interesting to do. but don't lose your head!

I do agree that this was a huge and very sad mistake.
Some people are just lonely.
I'd only like to point out that they said this happened in Canada,
not the US.
Though I'm sure it's happened somewhere in the States as well.
