Jesus F Christ...I was born in Lawton and lived there til I was 10. All I can say is, that place is a wasteland and I'm glad to be out of both Lawton and Oklahoma in general. My grandmother still lives there. I don't even know what to say about those kids, except that sadly, I'm not surprised. I hope they're punished to the full extent of the law and the publicity of the whole thing will deter others from being cruel to animals, if only for fear of being caught.

Everyone OUGHT to be concerned about this story...that is, if you have a pet or, more importantly, a son or daughter !!! These maladjusted pieces of garbage will be out in the world one day as fully grown adults ! They will move onto bigger prey...like people ! The cornerstone of a homicidal mind is animal abuse (also fire-starting, bedwetting.)

Who will adopt the kids after they get out of jail?

What is this world coming to where two young boys would think this is fun? Boys that should be still playing and starting to think about girls are hurting and killing animals and children.
I agree with the other people about the harsh sentences. Make an example out of a couple dozen of the little pricks and I bet animal cruelty would go down A LOT.

ok Looking at everyone's comments I have come to the conclusion that this messed up country puts animals before humans. Ok these CHILDREN are wrong and should be punished but not arrested! We are putting too many people in jail for stupid reasons. I think a whopping and no tv will do just fine for these boys..but jail!? ANd i read from some of you that if they beat each other then it's ok...no it's worse! Animals shouldn't be treated bad but i would NEVER put them on an equal level or even higher than humans.

These two boys should feel horrible for what they've done. I hope no kids follow in their footsteps. I think someone should beat these boys up and let them see how it feels to them. What I think is bad is that these kids could influence other kids to do such cruel acts. I hope they get put in jail! I'm glad to see that the cats are going to go to a good, hopefully much better home.

this breaks my heart. you're right, the look on that poor little cats face - he knows whats coming, and is powerless to stop it... what i want to know is WHY in GODS name did they feel like they needed to do this? What did those cats ever do to them???

This makes me so angry and so sad... I'm at least glad that the cats are in the care of a good vet and that they have a hope of being adopted into a caring and loving home.

I own three beautiful, spoiled and loving cats that i adopted from the Humane Society, Last Hope foster system and a pet smart adoption facility. it pains me to think of what their past was like - their lives before i brought them home. But i'm glad to know that as long as i'm alive, and caring for them, they are going to be safe, healthy and happy.

I know these boys will answer for their deeds, if not here on earth (which would be a pity) then when their maker calls, they will answer one way or another.

I can't stand seeing poor cats being tortured and hurt. It's a pet. What did it do to deserve being hurt like that? It trusts and loves you. It depends on you to keep it safe and feed it and to then hurt it for no good reason? It's just sick. I have two cats of my own and I treat them like my kids. I guess I care too much about animals. I'm incredibly protective of them. I'd probably kill or cripple/maim anyone who hurt them. Those boys might not have enough working parts to make their own kids if they hurt my cats I'd be that viscious. See I don't like many kids or teens. People suck. They are stupid and cruel and do horrible things with no rhyme or reason. Let most humans die. A lot of them are horrible people anyway. A cat? It's just a cat. It's not evil or mean. It's just an animal. I can deal with it being noisy or crapping on things. But people suck.

Poor cats, I remember hearing about a similar case a few years ago. Some sicko was chucking his cat onto train tracks, collecting him and doing it again.

People are capable of such cruelty and immoral acts. Animals aren't. They follow their nature, and yes, sometimes it's not pretty but they do what they must to survive. And humans ARE ANIMALS, dur. We deserve the same treatment we give out to everyone and everything else, including animals and nature. Why are we so way above animals? Huh? I think you are almost as disgusting as those boys are. The good thing is the internet group Anonymous, I think are the people that caught these two defective piles of DNA. They also printed the kids names, Kenny and Weston Glenn, and have created websites http://www.kenny-glenn.net/, that detail the progress on the case and expose the kids for the monsters they are. As you can see, Kenny is also a racist. Typical stupid lowlife criminals, these two. Trust me, they are paying via other forms of justice as they should for the rest of their lives. Kenny, I'm a girl and I'll kick your punk ass if I ever have the misfortune to come across either you or your inbred brother.
