Taco Bell Drive-Through Hacked to Scream Obscenities

Someone managed to hack into the radio frequency for a Taco Bell drive-through and started shouting obscenities at the customers. Officials believe that the culprits must have been nearby to interfere with radio, and Taco Bell plans to press charges if the hackers are caught.
Seems like an awful lot of work just to curse out a bunch of people you don't know. Just goes to show that just cause you're smart doesn't mean you have a sophisticated sense of humor. [From: ABC15.com Image from compujeramey]

Pressing the Talk button on a walkie-talkie isn't "hacking", nor is it sophisticated.

Most of the fast food places have seemingly white bread Americans asking if I would like to try......................and then someone who cannot speak English comes on, to say "hold on!"

never figured out why these drive thru places haven't put order keypads on the side where you park your vehicle. let ME key in my order and save the hassle, can't hear you, don't want to hear you, is anyone listening type of things.

This really isn't anything hard to do. I would bet money that the speaker is on 30.84 MHz and the clerk is on 154.57. There's a PL tone im sure, but that's easy enough to find. Anyone with an easily modified ham radio and a scanner can do this (and from what I hear it's ALOT of fun, wink wink).
