I am wanting to turn off the Norton, I have an antivirus cd I want to install, but can't because of Norton. Any suggestions?

You can remove Norton by browsing the internet for the Norton Removal Tool for your version. Download it, and run it to remove all the Norton files. Once completed, you can use your CD to install your other Anti-Virus software.

DEE. I had the same problem with Norton. You have to take it to a computer shop and have it UNLOADED or if you now someone to do it.It will alwaqys be in your system,but it shouldn't give you a problem.When you get it done go to AVAST.com its free.Ive never had any problems with it,not like I did with NORTON.Hope I was helpful.

You'll need to delete your Norton Antivirus...then install the new one right after that. Good luck!
