Teen Blackmails Classmates With Nude Pics on Facebook
Kids! Teens! Whomever! Don't send nude pictures of yourself to anyone on Facebook or any other site (or via your cell phone, for that matter). It will come back to haunt you. We guarantee it.
These news stories just get creepier and creepier, don't they? [From: Foxnews.com]
Losing Face on Facebook
Facebook is going to rewrite the book on standard office excuses, at least for its shortsighted users. Kevin Colvin, an intern at Anglo Irish bank, thought that had an ironclad story when he asked off to attend to a "family emergency." When his boss was alerted to this fresh picture posted to his Facebook profile during his absence, that story lost just a tad of its believability -- unless he was curing Aunt Hattie with his magical powers and a potent hoppy elixir. We're sure that posting the picture seemed like a good idea at the time, Kevin, but you were sadly mistaken. Same goes for that costume.
Students at Glen Ridge High School in New Jersey were shocked and confused when the news trucks rolled up to get the scoop on a set of Facebook photos. Obtained by a nosy parent, the pictures featured underage drinking that led to the suspension of school athletes. Many saw the role of the photos in the punishments as legally questionable, but despite organized protests and other umbrage, many students opted to just take their own racy Facebook pictures down as soon as possible. Live and learn, everyone -- just don't post visual evidence of it happening on your profile.
Even the charmed lives of beauty queens can be dragged through the mud by Facebook photos taken far away from the pageant stage. Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo discovered this firsthand over the summer when she was the target of a strange "blackmail plot" centered on profile images of her partying and carrying on in a less than royal fashion. She ended up releasing the photos herself, and soon everyone was wondering what the fuss was all about -- from venture capitalists to gossip reporters, Facebook has a tendency to get people riled up.
Thinking about shoplifting some clothing? Here's a tip -- think twice before posting pictures of yourself modeling the hot merchandise on Facebook. Two students at Radford University in Virginia learned this lesson the hard way when a store owner was tipped off and found the incriminating images on Facebook. A stroke of the 'print' button, a trip to the police office, and the bust was complete.
This story -- women who show little discretion in their alcohol consumption and even less when documenting their misadventures on their profiles -- seems to have started the most recent wave of Facebook embarrassments. While it's difficult for many to understand the personal pride and motivation behind such excess, it's even more mind-boggling to know that these exploits are being glorified online for all to see. Mom must be proud, and potential employers are surely beating down the doors.

"These news stories just get creepier and creepier, don't they?"
No, what is getting creepier and creepier is the apparent sheer stupidity of today's average teenager

300 years?
JimmyJul 23rd 2009 5:59PM
He'll be like 318 when he gets out lol
DariaFeb 7th 2009 3:13AM
What is wrong with today's youth? Not a single one of the 31 teenagers had enough courage to get a gang together and beat the living crap out of this guy? Then warn him that if he ever tries this again, they'll kill him. That's how it would have been handled in my day. No police or parents needed. Now all 31 of these boys are going to wind up facing charges for having sent child pornography. Count on it.

More than likely, each kid thought it was only them, hence they remained silent, none knowing that the others were also being blackmailed. That is why sexual predators within families get away with harming young kids. Each kid is too mortified to tell the others, all of the while not knowing they are not the only victim. Silencing victims through shame is the name of the game.

I agree with Daria. I would have gone to his home with a posse and kicked the crap out of him. I would have videotaped it and let him know if he filed charges, the video would be on YouTube. I would have also destroyed his computer and cellphone. I would have struck so much fear in him, he wouldn't dare call the police on me or ever try this stunt again on anybody else! I can't believe these kids would rather have sex witth another guy than to have nude photos of them sent to friends. How do they know this guy doesn't have AIDS or VD? He also videotaped the encounters resulting in worse photos of them than just the nude photos they sent him. These kids were stupid and all need to get some therapy.

Daria? Are you a girl or a guy? hmm maybe you were in on this act...anyways I seriously doubt you would have done it that way back in the day.You would have gotten some other guys to do it for you while you cowered in the corner pissing your pants!!!
BabyFeb 15th 2009 1:15AM
Daria, I agree with you! Im only 21 but when I was a teenager if someone would have done something like this to me I would have hurt him!! I'm from the south and we dont deal with that type of thing!! I don't care if someone is gay but to do something so nasty, he needs someone to bash his head in a little!! I mean it's almost rape!! To make someone have sex with you or you are gonna blackmail them!! Come on kids get a backbone STOP being spineless and do something!! No wonder the world is the way it is!!

I agree with you 100%- They should have ganged up on this sick pervert instead of lowering themselves to do such sick sex acts with this pervert- I hope this man gets a good dose of his own medicine from his cellmates in prision, then he can feel what it is like to be forced to do something just like what those poor boys had to do. We all know how most inmates feel about child molester as that is what he is. His ass will be so sore he will never be able to sit down without severe pain. What comes around goes around & anything that happens to this so called man he will get back a 100 times over. You never know the pervert might actually like it ! Either way what he did was sick & perverted & I don't have any sympathy for him. Your comment was great !

This is a child's mind in a hormonal crisis with no one to talk to him.I am a little reluctant to comment on this catastrophe except to say that he is caught and it could have passed intoa blackwall no one would ever uncover. This facebook friend is a little creepy.

SICK PRANK GONE PSYCHO. Number one #1 teenagers - don't send any provocative photo to someone you do not know especially. Kidding around is one thing but full on nudity is NOT EVEN a good idea no matter who it is. Nudity should only be expressed in a loving relationship you're confident of and with someone you've gotten to know and have met your parents. I know girls who let their boyfriends take polaroids and didn't get a hold of them before they broke up. It's even worse now with computers and cell phones, etc.,....DON'T DO IT. Now even guys have to be aware of the ramifications. May seem cool at the time, but they'll either come back to haunt you or no one will care - but why chance it? Be proud of your bodies, but keep it under raps. To be practical - If you're hellbent on doing it - 'cause some nitwit will be: NEVER show your face and bod in the same photo!

What a dumbsh*t. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, is it not? Just couldn't resist being so fuc*ing clever. See me? I know a lot about e-lec-tronics and com-pu-ters and technical stuff. Wanted to be a MAN at 18. Wanted to show how MUCH he knew. Ah well, what are you gonna' do. Wasn't just him. I say we cut his sentence in half. 150 years in jail....first 10 being new meat and all on a long rap like that....wants to force males to have sex with him with threats. Sounds like he might like the idea of being forced to have sex with grown, crazy, convicts who might just like to kill him if he complains. Hmmmmm. Yeah, 150 should do it. Might last 5. Say goodbye to life as you knew it, Dummy. Wonder if he can qualify for breast implants? Might help in the ....you know.

Whether to go naked online is up to the individual, just be aware of the consequences. If you are in or planning on a profession in politics or the public eye then its probably not a good idea. However, if you decide to do it be aware that your pictures could end up anywhere. I am a 40 year old nudist male in Florida so I have ended up in photos which then have ended up online. Being a nudist I don't mind but for others it can be a major issue. Just think about the consequences it may or may not have for yourself. I did not bare all online right away but waited until I was in my mid 30's and thought about it before deciding to go for it.

I think the kids are idiots. I'm gay, and if someone tried blackmailing me to have sex with them, they would end up getting an ass whipping. Now I dont recall them saying how old the guys were. so they could have been freshman, but still I wouldn't stand for it.
AlexisAug 25th 2009 12:40PM
This is a child's mind with no one to talk to? WTF? This is an eighteen year old sexual predator! He knew exactly what he was doing. I hope this sick mf will get all 300 years in the slammer with no hope of parole. Instead of feeling sorry for him, feel sorry for these young men he black mailed and and used for his own satisfaction. I'm not gay basing here. If someone is gay, that's fine, that's their choice but it should be THEIR choice. Not some sicko little pig's choice for them because he wants it. Rot in jail sicko pig!

You guys are neglecting the kids who willingly sent pictures of themselves nude over the internet. If you ask me, they deserved the blackmail for being so stupid.
Chester VanderbiltMay 1st 2010 8:44PM
I have no problem with this.
