Creepiest Ads on the Web

Godaddy.com Danica Patrick "Shower":
Godaddy.com subscribes to the theory that "sex sells." We can't really argue with that logic, but the company may have crossed the line with its Danica Patrick "Shower" ad. First shown during the 2009 Super Bowl, and online with an extended and unrated ending, the ad depicts a group of dorky guys huddled around a computer watching Danica shower. What's worse, the ad reveals that the boys can control her and they are making her shower for the fifth time, claiming, "now that I'm online, it's like I can make anything happen." GoDaddy.com ads always generate plenty of buzz due to their scandalous and often busty commercials, but many viewers have felt that this spot adds a voyeuristic creepiness to the titillation, particularly if you're not into the whole being spied-on thing. If you dismiss the commercial as silly hyperbole, then check out this story about the hacker arrested for spying on a girl with her own webcam and think twice.
