14-Year-Old Sets 'Guitar Hero' Guinness World Record
The game -- in case you've been living under a rock -- lets you "play" numerous songs on a toy guitar, approximating the the feel of strumming a real guitar without having to sit through years of guitar lessons. Danny Johnson (aka Danny Fcing) got the world record with a score of 973,954 in the game, an amazing 99-percent completion. It's impressive, but watch the video above and you'll see him do even better, scoring a perfect 100 percent completion. Regardless of what you think about the merit of the game or what Danny could be doing better with his time, it's an impressive achievement and kudos to him!

If that kid picked up a real guitar in 5 years he would be the lead guitarist of 2014's equivalent to Dragonforce. Too bad real guitar isnt as fun as guitar hero.

Bull Crap...This article is fake...Its not even in the WBOR
what a freaking lie that somebody wants 10 seconds of fame just like Terrell Owens does
My god get a real freaking story up
There is no way a guy could get a 900,000 score unless if it was on expert. and dude...There is nobody that can go threw expert to get that high of score. Unless you was using some kind of cheat code or using a program that done it for you
The highest score i got on easy was 175.800 and that was on a song called Metallica called one
Give me break...So full of crap...Get a real story..and if a 14 year old did get a high score like that...he is playing way to freaking long
and i so for 1 does not believe this story because its fake

I own this game and wow. Even though he has no complete life getting a perfect 100%, its still awsome. Anyway he presses select to deploy starpower so ppl stop calling him a fake! Seriously the kid has no life thats how he got so high. And seriously you suck at this game. I'm a girl and I still play better than you. So stop trying to make the ppl think he is a fake cuz he's just better than you. If you don't like the articals then don't read em. Simple as that. Ta ta!!!

God! Who really needs ur opinion. U really freaken ruin the moment. I guess it's mostly jealousy becuase u prolly freaken suck at this game. People can play that good otherwise the makers of the game wouldn't of made it that hard and there wouldn't be such thing as 100%. You're a jerk and a loser who prolly has no life since you have to get all into this and say, Oh well he can't do that cuz blah blah blah who really gives a crap. He might've found out ways to help him play better but thats not really cheating and if you actually looked at him playing than thinking about how you can try to make yourself look cool and tell people that this is fake then you would've seen his fingers and watched him play some parts then you would know cuz that is like amazingly fast. Even though he is like prolly wasting his life trying to get really good at that game and stuff and he may be like a loser, but he isreally good and it was his time to shine cuz some people have things that they are good at and others should know about it too. I know this may sound stupid to you and you prolly won't care, but i really hate people that are like you. I don't even want you to reply back because you are prolly gonna say stupid things to me that I really don't even care about. SO BYEEE SUCKAA

What is fake? Look at that kid's fingers! Wow. Amazing hand eye coordination. I hope he grows up to be something great, and doesn't waste this skill.

I didn't watch the video but this is completely possible. I own this game... and I love that song but have carpal tunnel from about 10 years of typing (I'm 19). Using star power and doing so well he could've gotten this score because you have 4x multiplier which multiplies the points the notes equal by 4 x. And then star power will double that. I know a kid who can play a song on guitar hero on expert behind his back. Yeah I have a video on my camera of it.

Courtney, do you realize that some people are born with a predisposition to carpal tunnel syndrome? Obviously you have this weakness. I started typing on a manual typewriter, which I put in many long years at before computers came along. In all I have been typing almost every single day of my life for over 40 years now, and ALSO played keyboards in a rock band when I was younger. I have absolutely ZERO pain in my wrists or fingers, etc.

This is fake. Watch how he never lifts the guitar to get the star power. Fake. This is a mod.

You can press a button on the guitar to enable star power.
Jesus said 10:40PM on 2-09-2009
You do realize you dont have to lift the guitar up for star power as you can press select, also this isint the world record for the song either. This article is full of fail.

U DON'T NEED TO LIFT THE GUITAR TO GET STAR POWER....amatuer
Shelly said 7:16PM on 2-09-2009
Dude I guess u don't know u can press the select button to get star power instead of lifting the guitar? Wow
unknown said 9:27PM on 2-09-2009
wow ur smart... SELECT BUTTON
James said 10:47PM on 2-09-2009
Just in case you didnt know you can activate star power with the select button. He just pressed it with the heel of his hand. This is much smaller movement and therefore less likely to screw you up. Besides, half the time the tilt sensor in the guitar doesn't register you tilting it until the guitar is practically straight up. My tilt sensor doesn't even work at all. So no this is not a fake because he doesn't tilt the guitar.
Roy said 8:52PM on 2-09-2009
You don't need star power to get 100%, or any sort of multiplyer. All you have to do is hit every single note.
