I've always thought of rape as being more a crime of violence and the exercise of power and control over another person but I guess you can't deny that if the sexual urge is absent, it is possible the rape might not occur. What about the incidence of rape declining because the average age of american males is increasing? Aren't all sorts of violent crimes down simply because most violent crimes are committed by young males? Haven't there also been studies that link pornography to rape? You hear about people (males) being addicted to looking at pornography and one assumes that if its some sort of malady, that the person afflicted will eventually tire of what was once stimulating and have to graduate to something new. The thought being that actually acting out the sexual acts seen becomes the only way to find excitement. But isn't that what consenting adults do anyway, act out their fantasies?

jeremiahfoleyiii@mac.com
