Flashback: Young Bill Gates, Steve Jobs Play 1983 Mac Dating Game (Video)
Before they were mortal enemies, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were just two big dorks who really liked computers, and each other! Of course, the video (check it out after the break) also predates that whole Windows thing by about seven years.
This bizarre dating show, taken from an Apple Event in 1983, features a bunch of software guys in '80s-era-preppy khakis and polo shirts answering questions about how they view Apple and its relationship with the computer company, all in the style of 'The Dating Game.' Interestingly, all the non-Gates answers are cut.
The whole thing is awkward, slightly embarrassing, and features Bill Gates primping and preening in hopes that Steve Jobs will pick him -- we don't see that happening again anytime soon. Check out the video above in all it's '80s geek glory. And, for more images of these moguls when they were slick young things, check out the gallery below. [From: BuzzFeed]

You, of all people, should have your facts straight. Windows came out in 1985, less than two years after this show. And while Microsoft was courting Apple software (i.e. Word, etc), it was really working stealthly with IBM to overtake and bury Apple.
BTW, Microsoft had to step up its schedule for releasing Windows due to a very little known product that was shown at the computer electronics show the following year. A young man in Alabama had developed a Mac look-alike GUI that ran under MetaWINDOWS by Metagraphics on the IBM PC. Both Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were floored by it. Unfortunately Bill had better marketing and decided to release an inferior, buggy product. Microsoft hasn't changed its tactics since then either.

Was that promising young man from Alabama you, Mr. Bob Burrill?

Has Bill Gates ever had to shave?

@Bob Burrill
Windows 1.0 may have hit the scene in 1985, but it wasn't until the release of Windows 3.0 in 1990 that Windows became a popular and viable operating system alternative. Before that barely anyone used Windows, I myself stuck primarily with DOS until the release of Windows 95.
I didn't have my facts mixed up, was simply working by a different standard. However I will take issue with your insinuation that Microsoft was working stealthily to bury Apple, they publicly announced Windows in 1983, doesn't seem to secretive to me.

That was back when Gates was a real American, before he went to congress to bring in all of the out of country employees that he could get with H1B visas. Before he went on a mission to put the American people out of work that made him rich enough to make congress slobber all over themselves with his presence.

Love me some hunky little nerd. But with that shock of ever reddening hair, I bet it ain't so cute when Bill Gates throws a fit.
