How to Conserve Your LCD's Lifespan


LCD monitors have a lifespan, and, while they likely won't die completely until they're 20 years old or so, their backlights can begin to dim appreciably within just a couple years of use, leaving you squinting. To greatly slow their fade, turn down brightness and contrast levels to a tolerable level.
