Girl Sends 41,600 Text Messages in One Month

Using a phone with a standard numerical keypad (no cheating with a full QWERTY keyboard here) Emily punished her service provider by sending 41,600 text messages in the course of a single month. That's almost a text a minute in a 31 day month. We're not sure when Emily found the time to sleep, eat, or do school work.
However, Emily still can't hold a candle to the possessed cell phone that sent out almost 5,000 texts in the course of one evening, all without human input. If allowed to go for an entire month, that freakish phone would be on track to send over 150,000 in a month. So there is your new goal, Emily. Get crackin'. [From: Yahoo! News]

And we wonder why kids do not know how to articulate their feelings or interact and communicate with others on a normal, real life level nowdays. It's quite pathetic actually. This is the youth to rule my dying years. Yeah, so much to look forward to!

Doesn't pretty much every cell company lump together texts both send and received, along with any IMs sent or received, to come up with that number? Seems like you could rack up quite a bit with friends txting and IMing you a lot, and healthy dose of spam TXTs too.
