FlatWire HDMI Cable Is Literally Flat Enough to Stick and Hide on the Wall

Expanding upon its existing line of flat audio and video wires, the company's new HDMI flat wire looks like it would make wiring up that new super-thin OLED on the wall much easier, particularly if you're better with a firewall than drywall, and the company's flat power cables allow you to extend power from standard wall outlet. Apparently it's very safe too.
Of course, there's more to wall-mounting a gorgeous new television than wiring, and the FlatWire still requires a little bit of hands on (painting and attaching the connectors), so we'll go ahead and say that this is definitely for you DIY-ers out there. As for the rest of us, well, we'll the let pros handle it.

Will someone pleeeeeease explain to my just exactly HDMI cables cost so damned much? They can't be that difficult to manufacture, nor are the materials so exotic as to cause the price to be so high. What we have, I believe, is the outrageous overcharge by the manufacturer(s) to add on equipment that should be included. Remember when you bought a new computer - and all the cables were available for an extra charge ....the lack of HDMI cables is the same B.S. - just another way for the company to stick you for more money. It's like buying an automobile and then being told you need to purchase tires in addition. What gall - and when is that "crap" going to stop.

Always wondered... I just picked-up 5 HDMI cables for under $2 a piece. Shipping is expensive, but you're still gonna save alot.
