Soundbars at CES 3

Samsung HT-BD8200

Samsung's approach to the soundbar is completely wrapped up in its Blu-ray Disc player effort. The HT-BD8200 has a wireless subwoofer, virtual 5.1-channel surround sound, an iPod dock, and a network connection for BD-Live, Netflix, and other streaming subscription services. Like many other sound systems and TVs at the show, it has a volume leveling feature so sound isn't too loud or soft during TV shows or commercials. The HT-BD8200 is coming in the first half of 2009 but the price isn't yet set.
