Obama Loves His BlackBerry. BlackBerry Loves Him.

The biggest celebrity in the world is in love with and vigorously endorses a specific, ubiquitous product. His name is Barack Obama, and he loves his BlackBerry.
The President-elect has become the unofficial pitchman for BlackBerry and he isn't getting paid a cent. This is, we would venture to say, the dream of dreams come true for any company. Celebrities are paid millions for a single public appearance with a product, and long term relationships between a company and star -- see Nike and Michael Jordan -- can place the brand in the forefront of popular thought for years, even decades, to come. The amount of money this type of brand recognition creates is almost difficult to comprehend.
The fact that Obama is doing it for free -- it's estimated he could get up to $50 million, if he were allowed -- only lends more credibility to his endorsement. He has repeatedly stated that he dreads giving the phone up when he takes office, saying "they're going to pry it out of my hands."
The heads of BlackBerry probably don't even hear words when Obama speaks. It's probably more similar to a chorus of angels serenading them. [From: NYTimes.com]
