Fuji EnviroMAX Eco-Friendly Batteries
Fuji EnviroMAX Eco-Friendly Batteries

If you're not "going green," then you might as well pack up and go home in the tech world these days. We're assuming that's why Fuji is trying to beat the rest of the battery world to the punch by unveiling its Fuji EnviroMAX line of "eco-friendly" batteries. They contain no toxic mercury or cadmium, and no stubborn PVC plastics.

A high-purity, quick decomposing, iron electrolyte is at the core, and more landfill friendly PET plastics are used in the insulating sleeve. Even the packaging is made from recycled cardboard and PET, increasing its Enviro-cred.

Expect to see them priced about the same as a pack of Duracells starting February 1st.
