New Study Shows Housewives Spending Half of Free Time Online
The domestic housewife may be something of a dying breed these days, with more and more couples both going into the workforce and leaving the kids to fend for themselves (hopefully with a little help from daycare), or not having kids at all. But, a British study is showing that those housewives who are left in the world aren't the household dwellers you might imagine, spending half of their time online!Housewives, at least in the U.K., spend 47-percent of their free time online, most of that comparison shopping but also searching for information, checking out videos on YouTube and the like, and even (gasp!) visiting dating sites. This percentage is even higher than the young, tech-savvy surfers of the 18 - 24 demographic, who were found to spend 32 percent of their free time online. So, the next time you get healed by a high-level cleric in 'World of Warcraft,' don't just assume it's some introverted kid in his parents' basement! [From: Telegraph.co.uk]
