Sex With Robots: Is It Cheating?
The great philosophical debate of the next decade will certainly be, "Is having sex with a robot hooker cheating?"
Our friends over at Asylum debate the issue in the video above -- be warned it's NSFW (not safe for work) or appropriate for children. We've gotten used to robots that cook, clean, and pour us alcoholic beverages, and we all know that the next step is clearly robot fornication. The question on everyone's mind is, will visiting a robot sex worker be compared to going to a regular prostitute? Or is it just assisted masturbation?
Sure, visiting a live prostitute constitutes cheating, but if your girlfriend uses a vibrator, is that being unfaithful?
Go ahead, laugh now, but we guarantee this will become a serious debate for some in the ensuing years. [From: Asylum]

Cheating is in the eye of the beholder, in my opinion...when it comes to having sex with machines. As the newer generation becomes more open to robotics...cheating may no longer be perceived in ways we can imagine now. Take a look at cable pornography on a casual basis for the bedroom. Modern couples masturbate to it, or one of them does if the other is working late or off-schedule. It depends on sexual tolerance. 25 years ago, the same couple would of gotten into a nasty fight over the partner watching sex that doesn't include them. Now it's mostly excepted.
I think robots that can have sex will become an extension of the vibrators and artificial dolls that are available today. Some couples will bring their robot sex partner (appliances) into a shared bed as a 3-way, or 4-way...with no prejudice. There will be many others, that will "marry" their robots, like in Cherry 2000...and live a completely single life. Reproduction will then become completely commercialized. I can also see the next generation hooking their love androids up to the Internet for casual sex - or participating as one of the partners in an interactive Blue-Ray porno...and/or the "answering" sex partner is 1,000's of miles away...so advanced AI may not be necessary once the sensory technology is in place. The remote partner may even be able to "walk around" in your apartment, via the android, as if really there. It will be like hooking up...but it's by remote, and they'll perceive it as guilt free. Sex is about to be brought up to another level completely unknown to humans until the invention of cybersex.

ROFLMAO!!! All this talk of cheating is as if only the guys would be doing the robo-ho3000. Would you think it was cheating if your girlfriend or wife sneaked off to bang a robot? I'm pretty sure the designers will develop a male version - and imagine that, it can last longer than two minutes! I'm sure wives and girlfriends everywhere will rejoice.

These HAVE to be the funniest replies I've ever read on any article. Good luck, boys and girls!

Having sex with robots would to me be cheating unless the other partner said it was ok. Even then, your partner might be saying it because they don't want to hold you back from what you want. You gotta be careful about all that. Vibrators are ok with me so therefore it is not cheating. Just be up front with your partner and define what is "cheating" and what isn't in your relationship.
