The second rule is to then visit sites like gottadeal.com and dealio.com, which aggregate all the special offers, sales and printable (or online) coupons that all the major sellers are offering but which might take you days of researching to find on your own. Monitor them as early as you can to get before buying, and keep an eye out for one-day sales.
