Viagra Video Game Pulled By FDA

The game, "Viva Cruiser," had you guide a motorcycle down a desert road, picking up items you would need for a great date – roses, scented candles, gift boxes, and of course a little blue pill – while avoiding traffic cones along the way.
A voice-over intoned "Don't let erectile dysfunction slow you down ...".
"The video is misleading because it makes representations and suggestions about the use of Viagra ... but fails to disclose any risk information for the drug," the FDA stated.
We wish we could show you the game, which linked from Forbes.com before it was pulled in September.
You can still go to the Viagra Web site to play a little game that gets an apparently bored couple together on the couch but it isn't quite the same thrill.
Now, aren't you proud of us for avoiding all the obvious innuendo opportunities? Just please don't call us a bunch of stiffs. [Source: Joystiq.com.]

ALL prescription medicine ads should be pulled from TV. The cost of the ads is what drives up the price of drugs. You can't get them anyway without a doctor's prescription. What is the purpose of them? If you need something, your doctor will prescribe it.

I'm just trying to figure out what kind of dork couldn't find anything better to do than play a game like this. I have a recurrent STD, but I wouldn't waste time on a website playing "put the ointment on the ouchie" or some such crap. Viagra the video game. Lordy! I sure hope Scholls has Whack a Bunion online someday.

I also think these type adds are inappropriate. In todays world where almost everything is now challenged almost on a daily basis. It appears that core values are becoming so diluted, that there is no values anymore!...Let's all do our own thing in the open...often times in your face etc. Where does one draw any lines anymore? Is there no more standards for we sure as hell appear to be heading to San Francisco values and Flowers in your Hair. Hell no one is 100% pure I think for the most part we are human after all...It appears to me at least we could be on the rode not to Utopia but anachy....?

It a game about words which as adults with children should be able to talk about. Depending on the childs age typically the youngest can accept a very simple answer as they older one need more details. You do not have to provide the details about the drugs purpose, but you should be ok talking about any subject reguardless of weather or not it makes you feel uneasy. Consider seeking professional advice for yourself to allow you to be a better parent and feel more at ease with the topics of human relationships. Remember, you are your children's role model, so chances are you are mirroring one of your parents and if you don;t like it you have to change it for you kids, so they loose the uneasy feeling which you have lived with for you life. No right or wrong just follow your heart for what is right in the long run. We are all on the planet with each other
