Typical meeting places were like Family Fun Center, etc.
Bulletin Boards succeeded in doing what MySpace and Facebook fail at miserably and totally - they created meaningful, lasting true social relationships and networks. I know alot of people who got married after meeting on a BBS. Anybody reading this been married as a result of using MySpace or Facebook?

BBS's are still around, but you can't reach them with a web browser, you have to Telnet to them (they're old skool lol) and the graphics are old skool too - well you have to see them to believe them!

Do this: type telnet://centre.segfault.net into your web browser, and it will run the Telnet program and goto that BBS.
(I don't own the BBS, it's just an easy one to remember).
When you get there, you can't use your mouse to point & click (its old skool remember).
Just use your keyboard to hit letters of commands and... stuff.

Anyway I'm done ranting!! Everyone have a great weekend :)

Kyle

Comments on Facebook 101: 25 Tips and Tricks

facebook disabled my account for adding too many people. i dont understand…if the point of facebook is to add friends, why is there now a limit on how many people you add. And if you add to many people, hoping to get back on soon. I just enjoy using the site. my facebook has just been disabled and it’s really frustrating…i want it back. There is no “Abuse” as they like to put it.
Help please!
Thank you

ovais mirza
